  • 2 cups frozen peas thawed
  • 2 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp parsley divided
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup red onion sliced
  • 3/4 oz cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 oz baked bacon sliced crosswise into 1/2 inch pieces


  • Make the dressing: In a large bowl, add mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, salt, ground black pepper, lemon juice, sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon of parsley. Whisk to combine.

  • Add the peas and water to a medium saucepan. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Drain the peas and set them aside.

  • Add peas, onion, cheddar cheese, and bacon to the dressing bowl. Toss to coat evenly.

  • Sprinkle the remaining parsley on top. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for a while and enjoy it cold.
