  • In a large pot, heat 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp shallot and sauté for 30 seconds.
    Step 1: Sauté the shallot.
  • Add 1 oz carrot and 4 oz ground pork. Cook and stir often for 2 minutes.
    Step 2: Sear the pork in the same pan.
  • Pour in 1/4 cup tomato sauce and cook for another 1 minute.
    Step 3: Add the tomato sauce.
  • Season the mixture with 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1 1/2 tsp gravy mix. Add 3 cups chicken broth and bring to a boil.
    Step 4: Season the mixture and add the liquid.
  • Stir in 8 oz cabbage and simmer the soup until the cabbage is wilted and soft, about 10 minutes.
    Step 5: Stir in the cabbage.
  • Remove from heat. Garnish with 1 tbsp scallion and 1 tbsp coriander. Serve immediately.
    Step 6: Garnish and serve hot.
