Ingredients (20)
- 12 oz raw shrimp peeled and deveined, equals 24 oz unpeeled
- 2 oz yellow onion diced
- 2 oz green bell pepper diced
- 2 oz red bell pepper diced
- 3 1/2 cup cooked medium-grain white rice
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsalted chicken broth
- 1/4 cup homemade tomato sauce
- 4 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2 tbsp garlic minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped
INSTRUCTIONS

In a cast-iron skillet, sauté 2 tbsp garlic and 2 oz onion in 1 1/2 tbsp heated olive oil over medium heat for 1 minute.

Add 12 oz shrimp to the skillet and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add 1 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 oz red bell pepper, 2 oz green bell pepper, and 1/2 tsp cajun. Sauté for 2 more minutes.

Add 1/2 tbsp flour and whisk constantly until well combined.

Add 3/4 cup chicken broth, 1/4 cup tomato sauce, and 4 tbsp heavy cream. Let simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.

Garnish with 2 tbsp parsley.

Portion out onto serving plates and serve with cooked white rice.
