Furthermore, the high vitamin C content of carrots encourages the production of antibodies that protect your immune system and help you avoid disease. Your best defense against any illness or disease, including cancer, is a healthy immune system.
Turmeric and its high curcumin content may be beneficial for chronic conditions where inflammation affects the body tissues. Meanwhile, ginger may be beneficial for treating nausea and joint pain, and lowering blood pressure, amongst various other health benefits.
Main Ingredients
- Carrot: This vegetable’s distinct earthy sweetness will be the most prominent taste of this drink, so we recommend using fresh carrots.
- Ginger: With a warm and fiery nature, ginger brings an aromatic kick that makes this drink so invigorating. If you don’t normally like how strong it is, use ground ginger instead. It offers the same flavor notes, but a bit milder.
- Turmeric: We use ground turmeric, which brings an earthy aroma and some light spice to the drink.
- Honey: For a touch of sweetness to make the drink more enjoyable. Feel free to adjust the amount to your preference.
- Other ingredients: Warm water and ice.
Can I Use Raw Turmeric for Juicing?
Raw turmeric has the same earthy, spicy notes as ground turmeric, only more pronounced and laced with a touch of sweetness. If you don’t mind the strong scent, feel free to grate some to use for this juice.
Our recipe uses 1 and a half teaspoons of ground turmeric, which roughly equals 1 and a half tablespoons of grated fresh turmeric.
